From 1989-1997, a successful German weekday version called Der Preis ist heiß was mounted based off of the US version.
After the success of Gameshow Marathon in the UK and US, a German version of Gameshow Marathon was mounted in 2007, once again beginning with Der Preis ist heiß as the opening game.
The other games included Geh aufs Ganze! (Let’s Make a Deal), Hopp oder Top (Sale of the Century), Glücksrad (Wheel of Fortune), Ruck Zuck (Bruce Forsyth’s Hot Streak) and, Bube, Dame, Hörig (Card Sharks), with the two finalist’s families coming to a head in a final battle of Familien-Duell (Family Feud).
The series saw poor ratings and did not do as successfully in Germany as its UK or US variants.
