In the days of the early Internet, before the advent of streaming or YouTube channels, game show fans shared videos by “Tape Trading”–literally by mailing personalized copies of VHS tapes to each other. This was a cumbersome process, but some fans managed to collect thousands of hours of videotapes.
Since many of Golden-Road.net’s userbase were college students who weren’t familiar with previous eras of the show, admins loaded this page with screengrabs of Price’s best moments throughout the years. This page gave any fan with dial-up Internet the chance to familiarize themselves with TPIR’s rich history.
