Dice Game

Played for a car. The car’s price has no zeroes, and no numbers higher than six.

Four numbers in the car’s price are hidden. The contestant rolls four oversized dice, one at a time. After each roll, the contestant must guess whether the actual number is higher or lower than the number rolled on the die. If they manage to roll the exact digit, that digit is given freely. If they can get all four windows right with no mistakes, they win the car!

Dice Game is one of the more iconic and popular car games in The Price is Right game rotation. A few fortunate contestants have won cars automatically by getting very lucky on all four rolls!

Joan can win this beautiful Buick Opel…

…if she can conquer the Dice Game! Joan says she’s not a gambler, but Bob assures her she doesn’t have to be.

Every number in the price of the car can be found on a common die. No zeroes, and no numbers higher than six.

Joan’s first roll is a 2. A buzzer sounds, meaning that 2 is not the first number in the car’s price, and Joan must decide if the actual digit is higher or lower.

Joan says the first digit is higher than 2, and Bob agrees that she’s probably right.

Joan’s next rolls are 2, 5, and 3….

…and she says that each digit is higher, lower, and higher, respectively. Time for the reveal!

The first two digits are right! Surely the third digit won’t be a six!

Unfortunately, it was. No car for Joan.
