Here are the Five Price Tags…one of them is the price of that truck – will the contestant win it?
The first small prize is marked $20. Is that true or false? A correct answer gives this contestant a chance to win that truck.

Any Number

Bob lights up the first number in the price of the car for free.
Uh oh, 1 more number might cause her to lose that car.
And it did! She only won that $6.48 Piggy Bank.
It’s the very first pricing game ever played. Any Number!
This playing is looking better! One more number and that car is sold!
And she got it! $17,965.
There’s all the numbers lit up. It doesn’t matter now, she’s already won that car.
Do you believe this? The only numbers this contestant was able to light up was the Piggy Bank!

Balance Game

We’re going to play the Balance Game!

Bob carefully positions that Aspercreme chip at $6.84.
Whoa…too many waters purchased!
Well, this player didn’t hit the target, but he could still win with a hidden bullseye. It’s not here under the Aspercreme.
It was behind the water. Since he went over the $12 mark, this doesn’t count and unfortunately he lost.

It’s time to play Cliff Hangers!
Here are the 3 small prizes that will be used! The object is for the contestant to come as close to the actual retail prices as possible. If they’re right, the mountain climber stays put. If they’re wrong, he moves up the mountain 1 step for each dollar they’re away. After all 3 prizes, if he hasn’t fallen off the mountain (which ends at 25 before the mountain climber falls), the contestant wins!

The models always roll the Hi-Lo prop on stage.
Hi-Lo is probably one of the most difficult Grocery Product games on the show today.
This is definately a good guess for the “Hi” row.
This could be tricky.
The remaining 3 items must be less than $4.79.
It’s getting interesting as the game plays out and Bob reveals the prices of the 3 remaining Grocery Products.

Hole in One (or Two)

Debut: Season 5 (1977)

One of Bob’s favorite games…it’s Hole in One.
Here are the six Grocery Products that the contestant must correctly price in order to get an advantage when putting.
If the contestant can correctly place all the items in order, they will putt from all the way up at this line.
Putting from the first line also earns the contestant a $500 bonus.
She only had one price out of order. She will be able to putt from the 2nd closest line to the hole.
Bob always takes an inspiration putt…or lets someone do it for him. Looks like it’s in the hole!
The contestant is lined up directly with the hole…
And she sunk it in just one try! Congratulations!
If the contestant misses the first putt, it becomes Hole in One…OR TWO!

It’s In The Bag

Debut: Season 26 (1997)

It takes very strategic planning to correctly place each item in the appropriate bag.

Let em Roll

Debut: Season 28 (1999)

Here is the current Let ‘Em Roll setup.
Bob shows off a Car on 3 sides, and $500 on another.
$1,000 is on another side.
$1,500 is on yet another side.
A contestant may earn up to 3 rolls by correctly pricing Grocery Products.
The contestant dumps the bucket and lets all the cubes roll at once.
4 cars on the first roll! This is a great sign!
The model uses a croupier to push any cubes to be rerolled back over to Bob.
Whoops! One cube went flying off the table on this roll. The contestant is allowed to reroll that cube. Now, this will rarely happen as they have installed a plexiglass barrier around the bottom of the table.

Line em Up

Debut: Season 26 (1998)

It’s Line ‘Em Up!
Bob demonstrates that the numbers in the car are made up of numbers found in the 3 other prizes offered.
Here is the contestant selecting the 2nd digit in the price of the car.
She’s making that 3rd digit a “3.”
And finally she’s choosing “9” for the 4th digit.
She has 1 correct number as indicated on the board. She must change 2 other numbers.
She’s changed the price to $17,892 – Is she a winner?
Oh no, here was the right price – $17,382.

Lucky $even

Debut: Season 1 (1973)

The only time a car is rolled on stage is when they are playing Lucky $even.
The first digit is given free and it is a 1.
The contestant must pay Bob $1 back for each number she is away from the price of that car.
That’s a $19,000 Mustang they are playing for!
The next digit is an 8.
One more number to go!
And this contestant won her car! She guessed very well on each of the numbers and had enough left to buy this Buick!
She paid Bob $1 and walked out with a new car!

Magic #

Debut: Season 21 (1992)

It’s Magic #…a fun two prize game.

Bob is instructing the contestant to move the lever up and down to set the “Magic Number” to his choice. If that number is higher than the first prize and lower than the second prize, he wins both prizes!

Bob reveals the higher prize first…and the Magic # is lower – halfway there…
And it is higher than the first prize! Another winner!

Make Your Move

Debut: Season 18 (1989)

Bob explains how to Make Your Move.
Here’s a closeup of the prizes being played for today.
The contestant begins to Make his Move.
He says that Toothbrush is $29, the Flatware is $649, and the Jukebox is $5,843…is he a winner?
No! If you look carefully, you can see that the Toothbrush was $29, the Jukebox was $6,495, and the Flatware was $843.
This would have been the correct combination today
This indicates a win! By far one of the coolest electronic win reveals on the show!

Master Key

Debut: Season 11 (1983)

Master Key!
Two keys may be won by guessing the correct prices of the small prizes.
Here are the 5 keys. 1 will open each of the 3 prizes, 1 will open nothing, and 1 is the Master which will open all 3 locks!
This contestant chooses her keys wisely.
She takes her first key and inserts it into the first lock…
Her first key opened the lock for the second prize.
This contestant is smiling for one reason. She knows that she has either won two prizes with her two keys or she may have selected the Master Key!
She tries that Car Lock and hopes it is the Master Key…
And it is! She had the Master Key and wins all 3 prizes!

Money Game

One of the prizes one can win is this fancy cradle
Finally, if you win all 3 of those prizes you have a chance to win this car!
To begin, a price of $750 is shown for the treadmill. Is the right price MORE or LESS?
The contestant chose MORE and she is right!
The correct price is $1,299
On to the cradle, is the right price MORE or LESS than $3,100?
Bob slides the reveal to show us…
It is LESS, the price is $2,049
We’ve moved on to the third prize and the contestant believes the Washer and Dryer are MORE than $2,100
Oh no, it was LESS. The price was $1,668. The game ends here and the contestant doesn’t have a chance at the car, but she does keep the two other prizes she won.
On the next playing, the contestant won all three prizes and is shown here trying to win a Jeep
She believes that Jeep is MORE than $17,500, and Bob shows us

Pocket Change

Debut: Season 33 (2005)

The first pricing game to premiere in Season 33, Pocket Change!
6 digits are shown here. 5 of these will make up the price of an automobile the contestant is trying to win!
The opening price of this car is always 25¢. The contestant also starts with 25¢ worth of “Pocket Change” which he or she can use to purchase the car after they correctly guess the price. Each time they correctly place a digit, the contestant can earn more change. However, for each mistake made, the cost of the car goes up by 25¢.
The contestant has guessed “1” as the first digit in the price of the car and he is correct. He will earn more change for that correct guess!
For his correct guess, this contestant is picking an unknown amount of change off the board. We will find out how much he’s picked once he figures out the entire price of the car.
The second digit wasn’t so easy. It took the contestant three tries to correctly guess the 7.
Those two mistakes unfortunately cost money. The price of the car is now 75¢.
The contestant has now correctly priced the car at $17,540. However, the final price of the car is now $1.00. Let’s hope that he has enough “Pocket Change” to buy the car!
Here’s Shane with the final price change of the automobile.
As we said, the contestant starts out with 25¢ worth of change. Let’s hope the 5 envelopes he’s earned contain at least 75¢.
Inside each envelope is a random amount ranging from ZERO all the way up to $2.00. There is a payout chart on the lower right hand side of the game board, but it is very difficult to see. Here Bob shows us that this contestant adds 25¢ to his change.
This contestant only found 80¢ worth of change, so he does not win the car. Too bad.

Punch-a-Bunch

Debut: Season 7 (1978)

It’s Punch-A-Bunch, the first cash game ever on the Price is Right.
Here are the 4 small prizes a contestant will use to help win up to 4 punches.
The lowest amount on the whole board.
Here’s a $500 slip.
A contestant gets a chance to punch whichever holes he or she chooses. In this case, the contestant found a $50 + SECOND CHANCE slip, and is able to punch another hole.
$100 + SECOND CHANCE and another $100 gives this contestant a quick $200.
Would you give back $1,000?
I sure hope you don’t give back $5,000!
Here’s a huge win from Season 31. Contestant Trevor Roe found a $500 + SECOND CHANCE and nailed a $10,000 slip!

Pushover

Debut: Season 2 (1974)

A fan favorite – It’s the Shell Game!
There is a ball under one of those shells. Bob begins today by mixing them up.
The contestant may earn up to 4 guesses by winning small prizes displayed. Here he must guess whether this jump start kit is Higher or Lower than $65.
He guessed Lower and he was correct! He earns one chip.
The contestant places his chip next to the Shell he believes the ball is hidden under.
He’s grinning because we know he’s won. He won all 4 chips! Since he’s already won the game, Bob will give him this $500 cash bonus if he can guess which shell conceals the ball.
No bonus. The ball was under Shell #4. He’s still won the game, however!

Stack the Deck

Debut: Season 35 (2006)

Here’s a look at the new game “Stack the Deck”
Stack the Deck is a game similar to Pocket Change, where the contestant must place the numbers in the price of the car in the correct order.
He or she can win additional help by using these six grocery products.
First, some Salsa.
Second, we have a bag of cookies.
The contestant must select the product that matches the price shown, in this case $2.69.
The contestant selected the salsa and he is correct.
Each time a correct price is guessed on the grocery portion of the game, the contestant may select a free digit in the price of the car. Here, he has selected the second digit.
The 8 lights up indicating that it is the second digit in the price.
The contestant selects the third digit for free next, which is the 2.
Shane puts the “6” in place.
Now the contestant selects 1 for the first digit in the price. That looks like a safe choice.
He has a price of $18,260 for the car – is he a winner?

She picked the guitar next and did “STEP UP!” Is that too big of a jump or will she go on?
A bold risk, but it’s paid off! She went with the Hostess Set and has picked up 3 prizes and a total of $1,500 cash! Will she risk it all to see if that Grandfather Clock is more than $1,435?
She DID go on and she’s won ALL FOUR PRIZES and the maximum cash amount of $3,000! That Grandfather Clock was the most expensive!
It’s pretty rare to see all of these lights lit up during game play.

In early Season 32, the second wheelchair bound contestant in the history of TPiR was called down and made it on stage to play Switcheroo. Claudia was used to assist him in switching the blocks.
For the second time in Season 32, Cast Members assisted the contestant playing Switcheroo with changing the blocks. On this particular show, the oldest contestant ever on the show was called down. Bob moved the blocks for him this time.

This contestant won both Showcases, and become one of the roughly 100 contestants in history to do so. She had the second best Showcase bid in Price is Right history.
This contestant can hardly believe it. He won 2 items playing Step Up, $11,000 on the Big Wheel, and a $36,000+ Showcase!
Amy Rempel: One of The Price is Right’s biggest Daytime winner in the 32 year history of the show! Her record was eventually eclipsed by Vickyann’s record-breaking double showcase win on the 35th season premiere.
Here’s Bob getting mauled by friends and family of the Showcase winner. He was trying to remind everyone to have their pets spayed or neutered during this Christmas 2003 Showcase.
